Thanks Adam,

I'm glad to here that most of us are still out here, and that gives me reason to think that we can pull the group back together whether for this particular event, or for another event/opportunity.

Cheers,
Rex

Rex,

I've been heads down with my work but I'm still here on the sideline observing email exchanges.
It's good to see the responses coming through from the group.  As things pickup I will be available to participate.

Best regards,
- Adam

Subject: [sia-pilot6] Last call for support for a proposal to SOA for E-Gov 4

Hi Folks,

I try not to tilt at windmills, a la Don Quixote, so I am not going to put together a proposal for a demonstration to the 4th SOA for E-Government Conference in Early October unless some of you actually want to do this. For starters, I don't have the fare to DC to make the presentation on my own, even if I could get a few of our collaborators to work on an updated demonstration.

I think the recent bridge collapse in Minneapolis highlights the need for our facilities, but if we are all too busy to coordinate, it is doubtful we will do much better when/if the need arises as it most certainly will.

I am going to chalk this up to the wrong time for us to do this, but I do want to bring this group back together soon.

I would love it if you all just replied to let me know you are still out there.

Just as a hint to what I am thinking about, I suggest that we can take the concepts discussed in Smart Mobs

http://www.smartmobs.com/

based on the 2002 book of the same name by Howard Rheingold

http://www.rheingold.com/

to the next level and beyond.

I also suggest that we might want to stay abreast of the future

Cheers,
Rex
