Since the article focuses on the "Principles" for the Federal Architecture under Bush, as a culmination of the efforts over the last 6.5 years, the following article is of interest to us, particularly in relation to the issues of governance in SOA since these principles represent a significant set of stakeholders both direct and indirect.

Having actually followed the development of these principles, I have to say that these are remarkably unencumbered politically. That is, I don't think these principles will change to any great degree in the next administration, whichever party and set of political leaders implement the coming transition. This set of principles is likely to remain as long as the next administration is not intent on reinventing the wheel, at least in terms of IT infrastructure.
